I've got a corrado with an early model clutch master cylinder (metal one) and a o2m slave cylinder they are connected with usp braided clutch line made for this application. I am wondering if the mkIV master cylinder as a bigger cylinder being to move more fluid than the mkII master. My clutch bites at the the upper part of the stroke, almost at the top. The system seems to be bled properly I bled it again today with my motive power bleeder and there are no air bubbles coming out, only fluid.

If there's anyone running a similar setup, I'd like to know if your clutch bites when the pedal is almost at the top.

I also have a FST singlemass flywheel, stock clutch, and stock pressure plate.

if your clutch is biting to far up top, you may want to incorporate the 02m UFO into your line. This is the Round disk dampener in line by the trans and it does as described.

I can't tell you the before and afters because mine is still in my Mock bay. I was originally going to modify the 02m Master and still might, but since I had to replace the master in my Corrado recently, I may decide to use it. Regardless though, I have the dampener JIC.

Ok, I see what you mean, it's true that I'm missing that piece.

I'm not sure how this piece would affect the friction point but I'll try to find the UFO Dampener.

I'm concerned that my actual clutch line with the connecting male end might not fit into the Dampener. Do you know if they use the same kind of connection than the one used on the plastic bleeder/restrictor ?

Yes, it slips right into the plastic bleeder T with an O Ring and uses that clip to secure. I bought the factory line, to use to make it easy, but your line should have the one slip joint end.

I've read threads about clutch being installed backward was causing the clutch to no disengage. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4451944. I'm starting to think it could be a possibility, I don't remember which side I've installed it. Is it possible to install it backward ? could it create a really high engagement point ?
