Cargo net beneath the shelf

I'm just curious. Has anybody made any use of the cargo net that is underneath the shelf in the trunk. I guess it's a shelf. The piece that lifts with the gate.

a place to stash the net that holds parcels to the floor? At least thats what i used it for before getting my NLA parcel tray thing, it doesn't really leave room for anything in there now.

I keep a printed copy of a classroom "script" that I use for my driving clinics. They don't get bent or crinkled, and so long as I remember they're there, I always have them. It's just remembering that you put something in it that's hard.

I have the VW snap-in sunshades for the rear windows. This net is a great place to store the collapsible shades when not in use.
