My exhaust smells rich and is lightly fogged and white in color. i dont think its a blown head gasket cause it doesnt smell sweet by any means.
can anyone give a little imput as to why the exhaust may smell rich and what else causes it to "steam" per say.
engine sounds great and healthy, has a little tick but nothing irregular for these
could removing your air filter cause this? i would not imagine so but i dunno
thanks in advance peeps.

my exhaust is not sweet smelling, i was wondering if anything else besides condensation causes white steamy exhaust for a few minutes.
and btw if anyone needs to know, the injectors tick like a mother f#$ker naturally. i had a master VW mechanic look at mine today and said its 100% natural and the engine is running mechanically perfect.
"its definitely not a blow head gasket"

are you loosing coolant? have you checked the oil cap and oil? you wont neccessarily smell a sweetness from the exhaust. does it smell like burned oil or gas? could be a leaking valve seal, bad headgasket or leaking injector depending on the color/smell of the smoke. have you 'palm checked' the tailpaipe? while its running and smoking cup your hand over the exhaust for a few seconds and see what deposits onto your hand, you can usually tell the odor and if its water gas or oil.
