Have fun with e85 and that hpfp.

Yep known for years !!!!! then when you try to publicly share this info and solutions people either don't listen or turn threads into pissing matches plus these so call engineering firms have big ears let them figure it out themselfs they don't share there data with us lol. I have flow data with almost all the aftermarket pumps and some OEM pumps compairing them to each other and have been running a solid no issues solution for over year now. Next up for me is fueling solution running on E-85 its slow moving Arnold takes too many crazy projects in his shop. Lol. Bob. G

I'm running same pump on Uni K04 BPY engine. So far it has survived race conditions with no issues. Also using RS4 valve.
I did have issues with the low pressure pump last year, it is critical it's 100 percent. Went with latest OEM pump last fall and it's been fine since. Earlier pumps seemed prone to heat and failure. It the rear pump is even slightly iffy, get stutters or complete temporary stall or cut under power.

Dunno if this already known, just found this pump, but i'm not too
sure it can solve our issues...
It seems to have been a replacement in the 1.8T's in the past, but
i haven't been able to confirm neither its flow or find too many people
using it.....

Those were my exact thoughts hence why i didn't bother to get it but rather ask.
Looks like the "latest" of the 1.8T pumps, so i doubt it can support TFSI BT levels
(even though it IS for a 520 bhp N/A engine :O)
EDIT:I wouldn't bother with getting the latest pump....The way i see it's go big or go home...
You can make your own basket and use a huge aftermarket pump to end all of this BS.
This is gonna be my plan....I already have ideas about how this should work....![]()

Your current setup looks good and your 044 results confirm the flow data I have showing it can't flow enough at high pressure which is needed in our engines in the upper rpm range. If you need a fuel sump to hold your pump Arnold @ Pag can make one of his aluminum units up that reuses the factory sending unit on the inclosed OEM style pump sump ,I'm waiting for one to come back from geting coated for E-85 use. There's only two intank pumps I've seen that can keep up with high fuel demand and still work and play nicely with OEM fuel management and dosnt throw off the fuel correction map and fuel trims. BTW Johns @upgradehpfp 155 HP rail valve is deff needed ( your data confirms it ) when your SW is requesting those higher pressures Bob. G.![]()

what makes you think the 044 cant flow enough? I considered buying one of arnolds but hes too damn flakey with his information. I know he's busy but I want to know what Im buying. He wouldn't give me anymore pictures that what was on his fb. I suspect the one-way valve doesn't work any better/worse than a '08 diaphragm style 1 way valve (which is the same one my BMW sump uses). In my opinion you can easily modify a '08 and newer basket with whatever pump you want and it will work the same as his. Neither are gonna have the oem properties of the pump filling the basket up past tank level though.
Im guessing you're running an aeromotive pump. yes?
According to many of the flow calculators Ive seen my walbro 400 outflows the aero 340 regardless of pressure and the 044 until you get to about 90psi.
I took the 155 valve out. Im not gonna run that kind of pressure with eurodyne atleast for the moment. I dont like the spikes in pressure.
Regardless its good that we are trying different things out to see what works best. Ill know more very soon.
