Sorry for chiming in so late guys! Things have been manic here lately with the recent move into our new shop along with the day to day and our show prep. There is a lot of work and planning that goes into these events, and we have been putting everything possible into making this the biggest and best SoWo to date!

This thread will serve as the place to periodically announce everything that you can expect for this years event! Please keep checking back, as we will be adding a lot more exciting info real soon!

To start with, here is a look at the limited edition matching t-shirt and pint glass combos that we have brought back again this year. These have been growing in popularity ever since the first year we offered them, and we have thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone tag pictures of them on Facebook and Instagram, as well as seeing you all wearing the shirts at other events as well.

There was some significance behind the usage of the VW R models on this years design! This is the 6th anniversary of the event (VR6/R32) and our 4th year as the title sponsor (MK6 Golf R), and the image was from a recent photo shoot we had done!

As in years past, these combos have only been produced in limited quantities, and although we have increased the quantities slightly to accomodate the growth of the event, these are still being offered at the event to show attendees only on a first come, first served basis. No rainchecks. We have also added womens sizes this year, and have increased the quantities of xl, 2xl and 3xl shirts for some people who have been left out in years past.

Update!

Repeating the success of last years event, we are bringing back The Lowdown Showdown!

Here are the vital details:

Bigg Daddy's Tavern
Officially starts at 11:00 PM (possibly earlier pending end of MK1 GTG)

Low car limbo contest with our very own custom made limbo rig!
Prizes for: Lowest Static / Lowest Air-Ride

Prizes are for VAG/Euro cars only! We will have a consolation prize for the lowest non-Euro!

We have upped the ante this year, and won't be using a ghetto flag pole and a measuring tape to measure the cars. Our UK office has custom engineered and fabricated a limbo rig specifically for this event that will utilize lasers to measure vehicle height!

***Beverages will be available from Bigg Daddy's, but you cannot leave the premises with them.***


Do you think your car is low?

Come prove it!

Convertibles are permitted, but will be measured at the top of the windshield! Some parking available, but be prepared to drive through the lot! You will be asked to leave your phone number so that we can contact you if you win!

We have coordinated this year with a number of our industry friends and partners to bring you a wide selection of amazing items for this years charity raffle. We have well over $2500 worth of prizes to be awarded.

ALL proceeds collected from raffle ticket sales will be donated directly to the official charity of Southern Worthersee, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

The raffle will be conducted in a Chinese auction format, meaning you will purchase raffle tickets ($1 per ticket) and there will be boxes setup for each item to be raffled off. You may purchase and enter as many tickets as you would like into the respective box for the item that you wish to win. At the end of the show on Saturday, we will draw tickets for each of the raffle items. If the winner is not present to collect their prize, we will draw another ticket until a claimant steps forward with the corresponding ticket stub.

I was kind of excited about the bike at first glance last year but then I got I nice hands on look at it up close and was kind of dissapointed. They used a rather heavy road bike frame rather then a lighter weight track frame designed for running a single speed set up and it looked like it had simply been rattle canned white. But I don't know the story behind it. For all I know someone was being super nice and donated their spare bike to help collect money for the charity.

Update on the Lowdown Showdown on Friday night!

Air Lift Company has very generously donated their own Twin 400C compressor to the lowest air-ride equipped car, and we will be offering a $250 Forge gift certificate to the lowest static vehicle.
