Thread: Mixing bug spray and weed killer

  1. 05-02-2012 02:30 PM #1
I need to do both. Round Up and Ortho (general bug killer).

They will go over the same areas. Is it a bad idea to mix them in the sprayer? Any chemical experts here?

If I can't, how long should I wait for one application and then the other? Which should go first?

    TIA

    Don't do it.

Typically, you would use one sprayer for herbicides and another for fungicides/pesticides.

All sorts of chemical reactions can occur by mixing chemicals in a sealed container. However, you may read the directions and see if it is recommended to mix what you are using. Check both labels and compare active ingredients.

Waiting a few days between applications should be fine.

I'd totally buy an all in one bug/weed killer if there was such a thing.

I'd avoid mixing them as mentioned above!
I really wish everyone would update their location in their profile!

Yeah, I'm thinking if they were safe to mix, you'd be able to buy it somewhere
