OK, So I just picked up an RCD-510 W/the phone button for my 08 GTI.

My GTI has an OEM Ipod dock (cd changer emulator).

Instead of going the MDI Route, I think (at least for now) that I am just going to use an SD card for my MP3s....

ANd then ADD a 9w3 bluetooth module (I have a red MFD) to make the "Phone" button work.....

The real questions is this........

can the original IPOD dock be modified to be used as just a means to charge my phone?

It seems plausible that It should be able to send power, not data, but just power to charge the phone with.

Wiring diagrams confuse me and make my eyes bleed So, i thought this is the place to ask if anyone has done/knows how to do this.....
