Im pretty sure 16vs didnt come to america from the factory. Is that an engine shot of the car for sale? If so its an 8v.
And yes 16vs are faster than 8vs stock for stock.

Found a 1997 Jetta 2.0 16V (is what the description says) manual.
Is this a myth? Or did certain 2.0's come with the 16V
I drive a 2.0 8V into the ground daily but have done some reading on the 16V swap... Is the base 2.0 16V faster and/or more powerful than the 8V?

Yeah, that's an engine shot... I kind of thought it looked a lot like my 8V (cleaner) but the same minus the shorty ram air heatsoak

It's a 10v.

That's in KC right? I thought I've seen the craigslist ad with the unmatching grille![]()

It is in KC, I was actually interested when I saw the 16V since my car has been in the shop for two weeks now.
Started thinking today I should probably just get another MK3. Nice to see another from Olathe on here.

Like the six hours I troll on here out of an 8 hour work day aren't bad enough already, you go and introduce me to a local forum with a classifieds section.
