    Bought a stage 1 clutch/flywheel kit from ecstuning for my 2001 vr6 and a cheap starter from autozone and this is what happened





    So if you have a aftermarket or diff flywheel starter what brand is it and where you get it? Since something is going wrong. Here is original thread if you would like to hear the FULL story.

    You should be talking with ECS about this.

    I have heard about a lot of flywheels with damage like this, not just VW. And they all came from China..... I have no idea where ECS gets theirs though.

    The tooth shape on the ring looks all wrong......IMO.

    Yeah I've never had issues with Ecs tuning, The flywheel come from saachs made in china -.-

    I talked to Ecs and they blamed my starter, but the flywheel and starter are exactly the same as the oem one.
