Thread: Ignition/Power Issue

    So i replaced the dash harness on the mk2 16v. It has a vr6 swapped in and it ran and worked perfectly fine. Reason i replaced the dash harness is because there were alot of bare wires showing. Ive got it all back in and this is where the problem arises. When the key is in the off position, the fuel pump primes and the lights come on. When i go to the on position all the lights turn off. When i try to start it it cranks over, but it doesnt start. It's like something got reversed somewhere. Just looking for someone that can help me out. Thanks alot it advance.

    Ok i found the problem with the ignition issue. One of the wires was in the wrong slot in the connector which i guess is what was causing the problem. That leads me to the next question. Now everything works as it should except the fuel pump. With the relay in, the fuel pump does not prime. I tried jumping it and the fuel pump started priming, although the car did not actually start when i tried. It just keeps cranking. Im getting fuel at the injectors. What would cause this? Thanks in advance!
