I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of somewhere that sells solid lifters for less than $21.57 each, which is the cheapest I know of from the handful of sites I usually shop at. I'm not looking to cheap out on quality necessarily, just looking to save a few bucks because this stuff is starting to add up! ..big surprise

    TIA

I have been running solid lifter heads since 1983 and have never had to replace one. Never seen one fail or wear out.

So if I am putting a cam in I should re-use the ones that are in it? ..because everywhere I have read on that subject highly suggests that new followers be put in when installing a cam.

Solid lifters use a "puck" for adjustment, and that is the part that actually makes contact with the cam.

You are thinking of the hydro lifters, to replace with a new cam.
