  1. 05-03-2012 03:19 AM #1
    Hello all.

Im finally going to pull the trigger on som HR ultra lows.

Wonder what else i will need to complete the lowering process.

Ecs tuning says "other modifacations may be needed".

Also who has the best deal?

Fyi its my daily driver. And the closest thing to a race track im going to see is a swerving highway off
    ramp..... Lol

    Thnks for all the help,

    Roberto

roberto, I have ULs on my car and there is really no other mods needed other than removing bump stops or cutting them.

you best price youll need to search for, I ordered mine through WRD using part number 29225-1

    http://shop.achtuning.com/hr-29225-1...-mkv-golf.aspx

this isnt the best price ive found but its at least a reputable place.

You may need a notch so your axel does not hit the body, but that is only if you decide to go really low.

If you have some miles on your car like 30K plus. While your doing this replace your strut mount bearings, because those will go bad pretty quick with the added stress and no one likes to retake apart there suspension after they just put it in. The other things the guys above confirmed like if you want to spin them all the way down you will need to notch and trim the rear bump stop. Heads up if the roads are bad like they are in ohio you might want to upgrade those front swaybar links because I snapped mine lol.
