Saw this guy on the freeway. This is what I consider the perfect stance. perfect wheel gap and drop, no camber bull****, and just the right offset. sorry about the crappy phone picture though.

Let's see what you guys think is the perfect stance.

Looks like about a 1/2 inch of suspension travel. Looks nice, but I need to keep my fillings in my teeth intact.

Looks like it would rub the fenders under hard cornering. I'd raise it an inch and call it a day.

Though it's still infinitely better than what people usually refer to "stance" as.

saw him driving along normally. no super stiff bouncy suspension, and he seemed to change lanes fine. didn't seem to rub. It must be a thing with BMW's or something because they all look like it might rub, but it doesn't.

Do BMW's need to have their fenders rolled?

*not an expert* but typical independent suspension designs tuck the wheel inward as they travel up, thus allowing fairly tight fender-tire gaps. chances are he's running aftermarket coilovers, so his suspension travel IS less than stock BUT still decent. the car's i've ridden in that have a similar *shudder* stance (hate that word) ride noticably firmer than stock but, if set up correctly, are not bouncy or otherwise uncomfortable.

I'm so happy to see other people on Vortex that agree with not slamming **** on it's face.
I hate seeing rim tuck, and tire tuck slightly annoys me.
I would almost say 1/2 inch higher for the BMW in the OP, but if it's not bouncy and doesn't rub it's perfect.

I like my car to be functional because if I want to take a corner hard I should be able to without smacking axles and rubbing fenders.

Both the BMW and Audi look good

That's what I like, i.e. not tucked up under the fender with a slight gap between it and the tire.

The BMW in the OP is nice for sure. Good example.

Biased here, but I am very happy with the end result on the 311RS. The wheels and tires fit just right, the car rides smooth on the street, and just ripps on track. To me, it's perfect

What kind of suspension are you running on your car if I may ask? It is perfect. So is the BMW in the OP.

Let's see what you guys think is the perfect stance.

I think that BMW looks great but it's about an inch too low. Also I like to see less wheel and meatier tires. The E36 M3 and E39 M5 had perfect stance from factory.

Currently I think the Lexus GS F-sport has a perfect stance

The Pontiac G8 has some proper stance and you don't have to mess with the suspension or anything just throw some wheels and that's it.
