2010 passat tpms light is on

Where is the TPMS Controller located at in a 2010 passat and are they inter changeable between cars. I bought a set of vw wheels that have tpms and put them on my car. My tpms light is comming on. I checked the air and the rotation of the tire also disconected the battery and still the light comes on. Just wondering if the module does not read my new tpms and could i replace the module and where would it be located? Thank you for your attention

just stop by your local dealer and see if you can get it reprogrammed, the signals are the only difference, replacing the module itself would just be expensive in my eyes. looking at it this way: if a monitor goes to sh*t and has to be replaced i doubt they replace them all and a new module it just needs ref lashing for the new monitor

I was told that there are different manufactures of tpms and if they dont match up this will throw a tpms error. Are they inter changeable?
