July is many things to many people; vacation time, work days, freedom from school, time to hit the beach, the pool, the parties, or even the celebration of independence. While I know this board is visited by many great members from many great countries, my patriotic heart could not pass up this month's primary them for the US residents...

As such, I present to you our July Monthly Photo Contest Theme:

SHOW ME YOUR PATRIOTIC SIDE!!!-

To compete in this contest, please post 1 photo of an .:R32 in a setting that depicts your patriotism toward your chosen country. Allow me to stress that this is not a "Red, White, and Blue" contest only; our US holiday this month is what inspires me, but I want to see as many countries represented in this contest as we can get

. Use your imagination and show me what you love about your homeland

Photoshop touch-ups and color correction are fine; but no "in-depth" editing should be used. I think HDRs are fine as well (and I was planning to do an HDR only monthly coming up so you may want to hold out for that

) as the original photography involved is the key to making them look their best.

My goal here wasn't to strap people with too many rules or restrictions, I'd rather see the creativity flowing; but we also don't want to go so far that people without photoshop (like me

) can't even compete. (now I just have to find an .:R32 to photograph for my entry

)

While the month of August is not necessarily majestic or awe-inspiring, the adjective that provides its namesake still carries the original meaning. So, in order to commemorate the word rather than simply the month, I present to you our August Monthly Photo Contest Theme:

To compete in this contest, please post 1 HDR photo of an August .:R32 in the setting of your choice. Themes or references to Hard Driving (Track/Autocross setting, cones or timing lights, Etc) are a bonus, but not mandatory. HDR Photography is mandatory to enter, of course (it's the theme of this august contest after all

).
