Switching to a Large MAP sensor dude to a new FMIC, will this cause a CEL or any other problems? Not sure if our 20ths are picky about the sensor. Thanks, here's some FMIC content to make up for my semi retarded question

Are you positive you have the small MAP?

My 337 had the large one.

Yess 100% positive I have the small MAP. Just not sure if both are compatible with the 20th. I don't get why there is a large and small sensor, just change in preference during production?

I have no idea. my eurojet SMIC required the smaller MAP so I just drilled out the port.

It should not matter. If it plugs in to your harness, you're golden. There are ways of adapting small sensors to big ports as well, I've seen it done a few times over in the 1.8t forum.

The larger one will work just fine. I just had to do this to my car. Had a vacuum leak that I couldn't figure out where it was until I used a smoke machine and it was coming from the sensor. When the PO installed the front mount they installed the small sensor but it wouldn't seal.

Got itttttt that's awesome, I'm using a gasket right now for my small MAP but at high psi like 18, it dips back and forth between 15 and 18, just want to eliminate all possible leaks. Thanks for the post.
Just curious how do you connect a smoke machine to your piping? do you have to mimic high pressure as well to see where the leaks are?
