Interesting you post this. I tore into a friends 02A last week. ARP ring gear bolt sheered clean in half and poked a hole in the bellhousing. Hopefully the peloquin didn't get destroyed.
it's was the 2nd time reusing those bolts and diff. ARP bolts dont just snap like that. If it wasn't defective then I'm chalking it up to installation error. Maybe his trans guy over torqued it.

anyone else sheared them off?
I tore my tranny apart this week and found two of them had sheared/broken in half (two sharing the same backing plate)
my gut feeling is that the bolts were defective, but am curious as to see if anyone else has any experience with this happening.
on the upside, tranny is going back together with AP Tuning 1-4 gearset (and my .681 5th)

yes i did, it happened on a mk3 vr6 O2A tranny, 2 ARP's that hold the ring gear on the peloquin diff broke.

Common thing , I went to court over it and lost yet it keeps happening all the time !
I blame a design error with Peloquin .

Id be willing to bet that there are a few dozen people worldwide who didn't torque the bolts correctly.

what are you guys torquing the bolts to cause i have only used peloquin and have never had a problem
