I have a One X for AT&T on preorder, and the Evo has two things I really wish the One X did, an SD slot and a dedicated camera button. I think it's going to be a great phone

I'm ordering this phone tomorrow for my GF. She keeps bugging me that she wants it, so that is what I'm getting her.
What are your thoughts? Yay or Nay?

it is going to be a great phone. as long as she is OK with the color scheme (the only negative really in my book) she will be happy.
its a power house phone, with a Killer screen, and Ice Cream Sandwich. i have really heard nothing but good things about the OneX line of phones...and this is just a slightly tweaked verson of that phone.

This is good to hear! Nothing but good reviews on this phone....my GF will be one happy camper!! I'm personally waiting for the new Galaxy S3 or the IPHONE 5. I need to see both and compare, before making a decision.![]()

follow-up, had the One X since yesterday, it's fantastic. The size is a slight adjustment from my captivate, but should be less so from an old Evo. The screen is brilliant, very fast and snappy, I wish I could have the sprint version for the reasons in my other post. It's a great phone

sprints lte network should start coming online mid year as in next month or so. im more concerned about apple with its nagging lawsuits that are aimed at stopping better hardware from rolling out.

here in hawaii id have to say sprints done me very well. i have coverage everywhere while my co workers hang out the windows to talk on their phones. moving to columbus Ga soon so im wondering if my views of sprint will change then. by the time i get to columbus their lte should be up in major cities. right now i still love my evo 4g and wimax but id love to go lte if the benefit is actually there.

In terms of real world speed performance, Verizon and AT&T's LTE networks smoke Sprint's WiMax.

not just in speed, but coverage, too.
sprint is about a solid 2 years behind their LTE buildout. and with what little capital they have to play with, i can't imagine them launching more than maybe a dozen cities to start with. and probably not even till Q3 (maybe sooner, maybe not).
and this phone doesn't support WiMax in the meantime, so you can't even use that as backup.
it's like having cable all your life then all of a sudden having to depend on dial up.
good luck with all that.
