    Just noticed this today too. Hard to interpret the article. Notably more positive wording on the Sportback's chances of making it to the USA. The C&D sounds more realistic. The Autoblog is a little bit out there stating the 1.8T is also coming.

    The 1.8T is coming. The 1.8T is going to be replacing the 2.5L in the Jetta, Passat and Beetle. I could very easily see Audi using it as well as the base engine in the A3.

    It is for certain in the Euro-spec A3. Less certain will be its US presence. Since they'll be using the 2.0TDI, my guess is that they will stick with the 3rd gen 2.0T for the A3 and the S3, obviously in different tunes.
