had a new clutch kit and dualmass flywheel fitted, for about a week or 2 it was good
now all the gears are notchy and the gearstick from the start has also felt really loose and easier to manoeuvre but its hard to go into first and second also it kind of jerks when releasing the clutch in third.. also... when changing gears somtimes it just doesn't feel its its engaging properly it feels like some drag like its not fully disengaging.. please im tottally fed up with these problems!! it makes me feel like selling the car!!.. thanks
oh and now covered like 600 miles so please dont say needs bedding in

If its just a notchy shifter it sounds like you just to realign your shifter cables. If the clutch has issues maybe air in the line.

What brand clutch?
If it's south bend, you could have one of the faulty units.

As suggested before, it maybe that you just need to realign the cables..

I dont think its a south bend since it has a dual mass flywheel.. which I think should be OEM.
Did they bleed your clutch? Try that too.

hey guys sorry about the late reply, I didn't think my thread would get replied to after looking 3 days after I made it no comments
it has a oem clutch and DMF both made by LUK
the slave cylinder was also changed
clutch fluid wasn't changed or bled
problem still exists, how easy is it to 'adjust' the gear linkage I don't want to mess things up
i took the car back to the garage and they said its not the gear linkage but I doubtful with their reply, he said it might benifit from a gearbox oil change .. if so what oil do you guys reccommend? i was thinking gear 300, but some people say its junk made in france.. idk.. thanks they said they would change the gearbox oil FOC

i think it has a good chance of being the oil if your having a hard time getting into gears like that. I have Amsoil 75w-90 in there. much thicker than factory, but shifts like freaking butter. its a GL4/5 and you dont have to mix in syncromesh if you don't want to, but its not a bad idea i guess.
iirc (been 2 years or so since I did it), we take 2.4 quarts, but always keep the car as level as possible and fill it till it drains out of the fill port.
need a special fitting to undo the bottom bolt on some cars, and others simply use either a 3/8'' drive or a triple square, forget the size. google it and there are at least 2 DIYs ive seen. very easy to do.
to clean it all out, i recommend filling with a cheapo depot gear oil, taking for a short 5 or 10 mile spin, parking it and draining it again. my OEM fluid came out super dirty and when i ran my gloved hand through it, you could feel the grittiness to it from the wear materials in it. lifetime fluid my ass.
at the same time, id def recommend resetting your shift linkages. not hard to do, and you can google it, or i think 42dd has a video floating around about it.
