So I broke the headlight release lever on my 2005 Beetle. I was wondering if anyone had any good pointers on how to get the headlight assembly out?

Seriously how difficult does changing a headlight bulb have to be

    Any help is greatly appreciated

which side? Thepassenger one is certainly far easier to get at in such an event. I just worked on mine with a flat blade screwdriver until I got it released. It's a fairly common thing as they are pretty fragile after a few years of weather, your local dealer will undoubtedly have an on hand supply. They are cheap and easy to replace once you get the headlight assy out......

Its the passenger side. I got it out with some prying and pulling. Now just to get that new lock ring!
