How to remove hood release?

Hey guys. Does someone know or has experience how to remove hood release and plastic trim from driver side covering wires going along driver door, left rear door and to the trunk? I am trying to install subwoofer and amplifier in the trunk need to fish wire through the car from battery to a trunk, and got staked with hood release (opener), i can't remove it and piece of plastic where you put your feet holding together. I don't want to brake anything. Please help

I finally got mine to come off. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures - was too fustrated. You bascially pull it out / down like the passenger side kick panel. The passenger side is very easy. The driver side is very similar. The Hood lever stays in place. You have to carefully bend the panel around the lever and it should come out. The clip on the back right (towards the firewall) was the tough one for me. Just needed some muscle to pop it.

As a side note, if you wanted to pull the dead pedal out, it has one screw in it behind that side kick panel. So you can't get it off unless you get the side off first.

I got my too. Damn VW why it to make so complicated. I almost lost my patience and broke that hood lever, i thought it holds everything. But then i got it how that works.
