I would like to replace my dented passenger door on my 87 scirocco. I've tried to installed my replacement door but I found the hinges don't have the same center to center measure than my original door.

Original door have 13 3/8''
Replacement door #1 13 5/16''
Replacement door #2 13 1/4''

What is the technique to replace a door?

Do I have to cut the bracket on the A pillar and relocate it and weld it back to the A pillar?

Any other way to do the job?

I don't see any adjustment on the hinges...
