Super Moon tonight...

Well for those of you who took a look at my other Moon shots (Available here), I took some "super" Moon shots tonight.

You can only take so many photos of the same Moon in the sky, so here you go!

Luckily I caught the moutains in one of them!

I just went out and tried, but with a monopod I dont like the results.

To do it right I really need to use a tripod (its packed up and Im too lazy to get it out), mirror lockup and remote release.

not bad shots you have though. I like the first shot with the horizon.

Thanks! I definitely had to use my big tripod. I experimented with my monopod on previous nights and it's impossible.

My attempt, just got my first DSLR today, so I've been taking pictures of everything.



I really need to figure out all the settings, it's a bit overwhelming right now. This is straight off the camera with only a crop.

Used my wife's D7000 for higher mp count vs my D300.

Next time I will try a 2x TC.

Any instagram users (oh noes the devil app!) out there should search for username ochinapi. She had some incredible supermoon stuff from Japan, though heavily doctored.
