I'd rather always keep up a slightly scruffy look than going freshly shaven to mountain man in a matter of days but currently use a basic razor. Which electric should I buy that would allow some margin settings for scruff? I've had good luck with Braun stuff in the past. Thanks, gents.

I tried a bunch, but recently bought an plug in Wahl Peanut for 30$ from amazon, with a 0.5mm add-on.

Gives me that perfect stubble, not too small not too thick.

Excellent tip- thanks! Where did you find the .5mm add-on? I don't see it on Amazon.

i use a Wahl as well, not sure of the model name. I shave without any attachment and it leaves a little stubble.
i bought mine at Bed bath and Beyond

It comes in a package with 4 different add-ons,

Here's the link and the guys I bought it from, they shipped it fast.

It's dirt cheap give it a shot

Got my 'Peanut' last week and it's been fantastic- great recommendation. Am just using the base blade on the thing, no attachments. Not really what it's designed for, isn't the smoothest shave, takes awhile, but it does the job well without scouring my face. This daily to every-other-day will be great.

edit: for future reference, obviously use pre+after shave lotions as usual

Glad I could help, I use the lowest attachment, and it works perfect for me. It's small, portable and super cheap. Good build as well.

Like you said, every other day.

    Enjoy.
