    Does the shifter move?
If yes, I'd check the cables, maybe they got loose on you.
If no, then you may be looking at a new clutch and/or a new tranny.

Sorry if it's the 2nd one.

I want to say you're about to buying a new transmission.

I had something similar happen last year with my passat. Was stuck in 1st gear but shifter was in reverse. One of the gears on the main shaft in the tranny broke off and put everything in a bind. About $3000 later (tow/parts/labor/anal lube) I had a new solid tranny.

But lets hope your shifter fork is broken or that you just need to adjust your cables.

Much more relieved,I guess too much track time took its toll, lol.I have no doubt thats the original part and it was going to go at some point, just going to get one out of the yard even though if I had the cash a new one would be the smartest choice, think Ill have the linkage adjusted and change the gear oil while Im at it,grinding gears is not fun
