Just picked up one of the last ones

I decided not to wait for the new A3 and stick to having one of the last A3 wagons the USA might ever see. So I sold my old A3 back in December 2011 and ordered a 2012 A3. Its been 6 months, but well worth the wait.

I too traded my '06 for a new '12 in order to stay with a Sportback.

However it turns out that the '13 A3 models will be the exact same offerings as '12:

I'm curious - how do you compare the new vs the old? More the same than different? I can't remember how my car felt when it was new. I guess you'll definitely get another 6-8 years on it before it starts falling apart - couldn't say that about the '06.

Driving the same ride (except TDI and no quattro for me) - Ibis, Ti, no opensky, no rails. Friggin' gorgeous. Nice taste!

here some more pics of the seats and interior. I noticed the air vents have silver with glass black and the new s-tronic shift knob is deferent as well











i didn't get open sky becuase it adds more wieght to the car and i heard takes away from the head room and some times rattles, plus i like the fact there isnt to many none open sky Ibis A3's out there

man i cant wait to start tuning it! the quattro makes a huge difference off the line i can allready feel the grip

The shift knob looks great but it gets really hot when the sun shines on it. The older knob was leather-covered and stayed cool.
