Hi,
I ve just buy and fit this kind of wheels and was wondering what kind of spacers I could use.
I am on ST coilovers, kind of really low, without rubbing at the moment with 225 40 18 Pzero XL tires and no fender screw mod .
This pic is posted as a reminder if the wheels I am talking about. 18x7.5 et54.

SHOULD BE, or WILL BE all right for sure ?
Should I already take away the screw in my rear arches that could rub on my tire ?

well, what are you looking for in terms of look? most wheel mfgrs produce/recommend a 18x8 et45 for A3 fitment. i have a set of this spec and it is close to flush up front and could use a bit more poke in back. so this is where my recommendation came from. with 7.5 wide wheels and 225 tires, you will be fine. if you want more poke, then a 10mm spacer will be easy to sell and you can put the 15 up front and get something bigger for the back...

i've tried 3 different setups with my car which should be the same on yours (3.2q + 18*7.5 et54 + KW/ST)
the car is 23.5" FTG
8mm all around, no rubbing
10f / 12rmm, rear rubbing hard
10mm all around, rear rubbing only with 200lbs+ weight on passenger side.
the fender screw mod helped, but I think the rubbing can be fixed with slight camber. On the passenger side my wheel is perfectly straight (0deg) and on driver side probably 0.5-1deg and no rubbing. i also think that the 3.2 aftermarket coilovers are not stiff enough (probably the same rates as 2.0T) which would explain some of the rubbing (too much travel).
gonna go get an alignment soon
btw i had H&R and bougth new ones from novustech.ca, much better quality.

Thank you guys!
I think I'll go with 8mm all around. or maybe 8mm front and 10mm rear.

That's a pic of my car. I'm running CH028s off an S4 which are ET43 the CH 024 looks exactly the same only they are 7.5" wide not 8" and have an offset of 56 I believe. I know the stock 17s that came with my car are ET57. You want to make sure which wheel you have before you get spacers.
As far as rubbing. I'm not running spacers and I rub with the CH 028s but my tire set up is 235/40/18. I was thinking that if I went down to 225s it would eliminate the rubbing but after looking at the tires last week when I switched out my wheels I don't know that 225s would eliminate it. Keep in mind the rubbing is very minimal (only over bumps) but put a 260lb in the back seat and it rubs every few minutes.
I'm also running stock Sline suspension

Troy was rubbing pretty hard with his 18x8 et45 with 245 tires. His coilover springs seemed softer than mine. The PSS10s are definitely a different setup than the KW based... I don't rub at all after tweaking the bumper to fender attachment area, even when I pull the trailer. So there is definitely room to play with in the back. It isn't very hard if you have a torx driver and a dremel.

Yeah, I've had my car side by side to another lava gray 3.2 with the ch024. the difference is subtle but the S4 wheels do pose a slightly more aggresive stance. The front wheels are almost flush with the fender and its pretty close in the rear. I'm glad I got the ch028 so I didn't have to mess with spacers. I'm sure if I took out the screw I wouldn't rub at all.

remove existing lug bolt, counting full turns needed to remove it from threads on hub
one turn = one thread on bolt
measure how many threads are in 5 mm 8mm, whatever your spacer is
if you will still be able to get 6 full threads (turns) engaged in the hub, then you are fine
if not, get longer bolts
