Hi all, I'm a currant VWWatercooled member and was looking for some help.

I have a red mk2 gti 8v and am experiencing some tranny problems. The clutch won't engage/disengage when the pedal is pressed in.

Checked so far:
-finger behind the vw inspection cover
-shifts gears fine
-pedal box is ok
-clutch has been changed apparently.
-clutch cable/mounts are ok

Dose any body have any ideas before I rip out the tranny and check the clutch? Is there a way to check without removing the gbox?

Any help will be much appreciated.
