Sorry everyone, progress has been very slow I've been crazy busy at work. But today after work I'm not ****ing around anymore! finishing up the turbo and trans and this thing is going back in tonight. I'll spend all tomorrow hooking everything back up and hope to have it driving tomorrow night or Sunday

I want bags and paint job before boost! I got it for half the cost because D.E.I wanted it off the shelf! I've been hanging out up there a little, as they are right down the road from me. They have a GTX3076 forsale too used

and of course man, i'll tell you everything you need to know and will answer any questions along the way.

And the car will be driveable once it's back together, but the earliest NLS can get me in for the flash is Thursday. So I can shoot some vids with 9 psi (stage 2) and SRI to give a perspective of what to expect for those who are thinking that route.

Boost is amazing! I don't even remember driving this car without the extra pep in it's step! I've been extremely happy with it... It's coming to the point where I'm just going to buy another 2.5 and tear it down and get the head built, do new seals etc.and probably even work on the bottom end, rings slugs and rods... But in all honesty I'm not looking for crazy power, just a super stout strong lower power/boost build

Was thinking about painting the trans but you honestly can not even see down there with the battery and charge pipes. I mean you wouldn't even be able to see the trans mount but I painted it anyway.

And there's a reason why red was used

Lol I think I was having a bad day when I wrote that. But regardless I can honestly say i've dumped over 20 thousand dollars into my rabbit, and I'd do it again.I love beating up on 60 thousand dollar cars.the driver of said car not only looks at me like something is broken, but I can even see that its not only his car, but his ego broke in the process lol

LOL. I'm sad to say I haven't disappointed any older guys in their "american muscle cars" yet, but that's because I didn't really have the chance to drive my car a lot before I left for school.

I love my Jetta. I think the car cost like 22k+ because it has every option that was available back when it was bought. I don't mind dumping basically every penny I make into it, but that's because the engine and mods are unique. If there were a lot of turbo 2.5's out there and it wasn't so rare to work these cars I'd probably already be over building the car. BUT, modding and owning this engine IS rare so I love it

Well, I got a few things done tonight. It seems like every time I work on my car it takes forever, but that's because I'm doing a lot of cleaning and wire tucking along the way. Tonight I got the rad support on and everything hooked up with that, drilled and cut out an opening for the oil cooler lines and hooked that all up, then I polished my intake pipe and charge pipe to the throttle body.








I tucked that harness under the throttle body after this pic was taken





Not much will get done tomorrow because I'm working late so we'll see what happens over the weekend.

The only part that is still missing and is becoming a problem with me is the exhaust that I ordered 6 weeks ago that still is not here.... It is not C2's fault, but 42 DD who is making it. I talked to them on 4/13 and they told me i'd have it in 5-7 business days...but it never came. Every week I'd call and they said it'll be about a week yet....and i'd call next week and get the same response. Last I spoke to them was last Monday and they told me i'd have it by the end of last week. I've been trying to get in contact with them all this week but no one picks up the phone or has returned my messages. This has been really starting to piss me off and is not good business on their part. Something will be taking some kind of action to resolve this matter if I can not contact them tomorrow.

Took Eurojet nearly 2 months for my exhaust.(not custom either) but I was peaved! After e mailing and calling my shop that ordered it, they claimed there was never even an order from me...they took my money though..I finally got it but I was a little irritated

man that really would make me mad too What pisses me off is that I talk to John at 42DD weekly and he always says its almost done

If you want, I can text John or Chris and see what the deal is dude. I talk to Chris every day, so I can see. From what I know, they're super backed up with weeks and weeks of work, and with a small staff, it's tough, but they make quality stuff.

i always tend to think it's one of those
"robbing peter to pay paul" set ups with small companies... I am no saying thats the case here. but i always think they sell before it's built and then wait for 15 more people to order the same thing so it can be jigged up and built within a few days and then shipped. I would prefer they say what they're doing...

if i'm waiting for 10 other buyers, then maybe i'll go somewhere else
