I have a 2000 Vw Golf 1.9 TDI with 4 speed O1M Transmission. On my way to the store, TCC got stuck in lock up.. Slowing down to hit the brake was stalling the engine, it finally started working the molment before it stalled. Kept driving another 2 miles and whenI stoped the second time It was slamming gears I imediatly pulled over. Saw fluid leaking from the bell housing. I took the transmission out noticed the SEAL was damaged from the pump bearing got stuck on the TC Hub. I replaced the pump. and Seal and Did the valve body due to TSB s on stickey valves in the body. Got the tranmission back together and notices hard shifts.. Gears observed while driving.

i'm really having trouble interpreting what your trans is doing wrong...
    Keep it simple...

    IE...
slips taking off from a stop? Jerks 1-2 shift? Harsh engagement when I move the shifter into drive.?
Auto trans fluid change or flush will not make a trans fail. Stop spreading the wives tale/urban myth.
