First off...first post here despite watching for months.

I plan on installing the Driver Gear springs on my 2007 MKV Rabbit...should give me just less than a 1 inch drop.

I found a great deal on some wheels and tires off of a 2001 A6 specs are

    Front: 17x8 et35...235-40-17
    Rear: 17x8 et35...255-40-17

Will these rub? I really like the idea of having some meaty tires on my car and with about 80% tread left on these tires would really like to use them.

The fronts will work. Rears... not so much.

Take the rears off, sell them and buy some 235s to match the front.

Take all the tires off and buy the appropriate 225/45/17 tires for your MK5..
