Hybrid View

Optioning out my '13 TTRS and according to the dealer you cannot order the aluminum optic pack in conjunction with sports exhaust titanium package - apparently you can only order one or the other.

Anyone else run into this situation?

Yeah, that's how it was for the 2012's, too. Audi won't let the Americans get the Alu pack with the Titanium wheels. It's really irritating. You can do it in every other country in the world (even Canada) but not in the US. Oddly, though, the 2013 order guide doesn't say that you can't order them together. The 2012 guide did.

I would be nice if the configurator on Audi's USA site reflected this unfortunate reality

get a really good body shop to do it for you, someone that your local mercedes/audi/bmw dealerships use to fix customer cars that get into accidents.

you;ll see the results of mine in about 3 weeks after my car gets delivered

Wouldn't it be easier cheaper to swap/paint wheels that to do the bumpers?

not easier to rip apart stock exhaust muffler to make it a sports exhaust muffler.

I considered powder coating a matching color, but with powdercoating it is very hard to keep the aluminum optic outline on the rims ( they would have to be 100% covered in titanium colored powdercoat)

he made it clear he wants the sports exhaust

Get the sport exhaust only and add the little aluminium trim to the back valence and front spoiler custom-ly, the $1200 you save on the sport/titanium package will help.

dont like the silver tips, thinking of powder coating similar to the sports exhaust color ( high gloss black) but getting some silver flakes in the powdercoat to match it up with the carbon fibre bits....
