Hello all, it's come time to sell my car. I've had it since April of 2007 and put alot of work, money and time into getting the car where it is today. I'm not a heavy poster so you may not know it well but I've brought the car to numerous shows over the years and has never let me down.
I'm selling the car because I plan on moving to California and not bringing it with me. With that said here's a list of some notable mods.
-Original VW paint. Has some dents/dings/small scratches for a car its age but I have done my best to keep it in pristine shape through detailing, hasn't been driven in a winter in 3 or 4 years
-Genuine Hella Golf European e-codes (Wired with relayed harness from eurowires.net for improved light output)
-Shaved wiper hole on hatch
-Hatch spoiler delete with European CL Glass (No holes)
-All red taillights
-Stock side skirts (Brand new top strips from ECS Tuning)
-European Amber turn signals
-3 Bar golf grille
-B&G RS2 Line coilovers
-Compomotive TH1680 Monoblock 16x8 all around et 25, 5x100
-205/40/16 Toyo Proxes
-Fifteen52 10 mm spacers in the rear
-Just refinished in silver paint by Jay Nowakawski of the.shine.lab. No scratches, dings or curbage
-Gold lug caps
-I have not seen another set of these wheels in this particular bolt pattern and size
-Mostly Stock 2.8 VR6 with between 130k and 131k miles
-Neuspeed strut bar
-Custom shortened, low profile oil pan from Ian Burlingham. Paired with mk5 R32 oil pump
-Glove box delete
-Black Suede wrapped headliner and knee bars
-Blacked out A,B,C pillars as well as black Cabrio visors and black Passat grab handles
*All done within last 1.5 to 3 years*
-Thermostat housing, coolant pipe and all gaskets replaced
-Brakes on all 4 corners with Mintex pads
-Rear Wheel bearings
-E Brake cables
-Suspension components replaced (Heavy duty strut mounts, ball joints, inner and outer tie rods and boots)
-Serpentine belt and tensioner
-Oil always changed with fully synthetic Castrol Syntec VW formulated 5w40
-Slight rust in drivers door sill and passenger quarter panel.
-CEL is on currently due to code p0442. Something with either the cat or o2 sensor.
-I have a mint condition OEM hood in primer that I am considering getting painted and installed before the sale. I would really like to take care of both the CEL problem and the hood before selling but that would also depend on where I sell it for
-The steering wheel and shift knob are pretty torn and beat. Always planned on replacing them but couldn't decide what with
