My vinyl top is dry, off color and starting to rip along the frame. But my top does not leak, so I'm looking to save it. This is my first soft top and I'm curious as to what process works best for other cabby owners. I know they sell dyes and cleaner but what brands work best to restore the look of my top. Also how and how often do you clean your tops? I guess I'm just looking for a good guide line for top maitainence.

Sorry if there's already a thread answering my questions, couldn't find anything.

Id soak it with 303 Aerospace or something similar. 303 is Commonly recommended though.

Not sure what to do about the color.

Vinyl tops last, depending on how they are cared for, 8 to 10 years.

Once it starts to rip, the only way to fix it...is to replace it. Just the way it is.

Couple hundred dollars and a weekend will get a new top installed. There are tons of how to's on replacing the top on a cabby.

I've gone from knowing nothing to replacing 4 tops in the span of a couple years, with help from this board.
