Thread: widening vs look

  1. 05-07-2012 10:22 PM #1
    I have a simple question..yess I search a lot..

I dont whant to ask about the ...what spacer I need to fluch fit my O"Z superlegera's 17" no I dont I will calculate it later but here my question

beside the look, is there a performance thing or it's simply for the look? making the car wider will change the lengh you need to make a U turn but beside that any positive or neg aspect? will it make my car holding bether on the ground?if yes fine if not ill save for brake upgrade...

    any input will be apreciate..

They always say a wider stance is better, but you aren't really widening anything by adding spacers.

Buy wider wheels and run a wider tire for better contact patch to the pavement.

What is the width and offset of your 17"s?

You're widening the vehicles track, which also lowers the CG.... So in theory, better handling.

Only in theory or someone will bring some fact? I hope so much for a fact that it will do something good other than aspect..

Well it's a fact, but on a non race prepped car, the difference will probably be negligible and barely noticeable if at all
