Thread: GTI 2010 ko4 + meth APR 100 octane file

  1. 05-07-2012 10:33 PM #1
    Hi ,

Im about to order a APR k04 kit and a Meth kit for my GTI 2010.

Im planning to run APR k04 100 octane file with the meth and 91 fuel pump but I dont know if its safe for the Stock engine . I cant find any information about the k04 100 octane file anywhere.

I have all the supporting mods for this setup (intercooler , turbo back , intake , clutch).

    meth/water 50/50 vp racing M1 meth

    Thanks

I could be wrong, but I think it would depend upon what your mix is... 70/30, 50/50...
I think the engine will be fine as long as you don't let it run dry and have supporting mods.
Perhaps someone with more experience can chime in... Bump.

Running in 100 octane mode can be done with meth, but there are risks, of course.

I have run with 93 in the tank and 100 octane for the tune and all was well in Audi Land.

We do not recommend running w/m as a substitute for a higher octane gasoline. You're asking for trouble if your meth mix is off--especially running 91 octane, a far cry from 100. Be safe

my logs have shown it's just fine. timing is great as soon as the meth flows, which is when I'm in boost and when high octane is important.

water is infinite octane, but suppresses flame front. Meth is like 116 or more, and adds fuel to the AF mix as well.
