Hey guys, im looking for some advice, pointers, and help on doing a big turbo build on my 1.8.
Im looking for around the 400-600WHP range. Price range doesnt matter. I plan on upgrading some internals. rods, bearings, cam. You know the usual stuff. Basically i need some input on what everyones doing out there with there GT3071R turbo set-up. Im currently chipped with unitronics on there stage 2 flash. 3inch exhuast. no cat just a borla muffler. water/meth injection, emission delete, evap delete. air ride suspension, turbo inlet pipe. The car moves but just not fast enough as i like it to be. I have a GT3071R turbo i plan on using.
All advice and help would be greatly appreciated i just dont know where to start.

I myself have a cts gt3076 kit, but i've heard lots of good things about pagparts, and if i had to do it again, I'd go with them. Give them a call

yea def me know how you do. On your engine build what Pistons, rods, cam sizes, intake do you recommend? would i be alright with just upgrading the rods and pistons? or would you just upgrade everything to be on the safe side

On your dual nozzle set-up for your w/m, where do you have your nozzles located?

Is 400-600 whp a range now? I spending close to 1$0K on parts and was told to expect around a 100whp gain. Surly its not only tuning that gets you from 4 to 6.

    400whp.

pagparts SS bottom mount kit, go with a gtx3071r or arnolds billet 3071r. meth, SEM manifold, 70 or 80mm tb, 3651 cams, 2.0l bottom end, upgrade all fasteners, and a good cooling setup, solid clutch and a nice pelolquin diff, and mounts all around. then some serious pads and rotors and make sure the suspension is sorted.

now you have 400+whp and this is actually going to be more like a 10k plus build.

If money's no object I'd be looking at something you can use 400-600whp in, cause a fwd econobox isn't exactly top of that list. And way to narrow it down, 400-600whp is a massive difference.

Not questioning if it can be done.

This is what I was talking about. I was already running a BT settup at 300whp and now am building for mid 400s. Most people tuning/ modifying their cars do it in stages, and upgrade things as they wearout. If you want to jump from your K03 stg2 chip tune straight to 600whp you parts list is going to be WAY different than going BT to 400whp for starters.

My point was simply to either narrow your goals down or be more specific with them. By doing do people will be able to be more helpful to you.
