Thread: Big turbo help!

    Hey guys. I'm going big turbo on my 1.8 with a GT3071r turbo. What recommendations does everyone have for internal upgrades to my 1.8t. What IC works out the best. Best intake, best manifold. All around best set-up. All help,advice would be greatly appreciate.

    Also all of ypu mk5 jetta guys out there. I have new bags from airlift if your looking to bag your vw. BAGS ONLY!! shoot me a price and will work some deal out

    All you need is upgraded connecting rods, fresh rings, and a hone. Stock 1.8t pistons are the best option for your power level. Go hang in the 1.8t technical forum, and read a bit

    if your motor is running great right, just do rods, no need for rings and hone, cuz not done right you will consume oil after so leave it, if ok.

    leave rest stock, some cams will help alot like Cat cams 3658 with that turbo will get you 40WHP.

    Software well only one choice Eurodyne Maestro on whatever injector you want, miniumum 630cc

    FMIC is good for consistent HP, since it will heatsoak very fast, but you can wait if you want,

    Good size downpipe and Catback is good power gains.
