Your pics didn't come through.
Anyway, finding random chunks inside the engine doesn't sound good. Could it be something that broke free when the oil pan was cracked?

My wife cracked her oil pan the other day so while waiting for the new one to come in (Meyle brand from mjmautohaus.com) I decided to take the old one off. Any thoughts about what this could be? It feels and sounds like metal and won't be picked up by a magnet so I assume it's aluminum, but it could be hard plastic. It appears that it used to be round in shape, maybe some sort of gasket or guide? The bottom two pictures are of the largest piece.
Whatever you guys think would be helpful.
Also, if anyone wants a DIY for how to change the oil pan or spark plugs lemme know, it seems pretty straightforward though.
edit: fixed the pics

I think its probably remnants of the dipstick tube that might have been replaced at one time and broken off
