When are they going to start ordering these things in 1 color and vinyl wrapping them? Like, order it in white and wrap those bits in black? think of the added resale!

Agreed, although I would like to put a wrap on it if I bought it. It is very cool and not a half bad price for a car with 200 miles.

    I'd estimate they're slightly slower than a G8 GT.

At the local auction house ex-RCMP 2006-2008 Crown Vics sell in the $1100-$1700 range. I don't think vinyl wrapping would have a big impact on resale values.

    0-60 in 5.2s for the V8
    6.2 for the V6

The Taurus SHO is too much money... also, I don't think it's even available yet.

Actually, a couple of guys from Honda-Tech work at the NorCal processing facility for these and apparently some departments have them vinyl-wrapped.

my dad's last job at GM was fleet sales/service for government contracts. you have absolutely no clue the unbelievable level of abuse those police cars (particularly the 9c3) get put through. if you run their oil life monitor data logs, many effectively have hundreds of thousands of miles on them just idling. they run them non-stop, 24 hours a day, weeks at a time.

Can you even find a G8 GT with that little mileage anymore?

And FYI, the Taurus SHO is already on sale.

I'll take one. If it's anything like other cop cars, in 4 years they'll sell for less than $8k... and I will buy one

Too put it in perspective on what kind of G8 you would get for that same money, I just bought a Stryker Blue 2009 G8 GT with 16k miles for $25k...

And all this time I thought miles don't matter.

I don't know...all I see when I look at this is a slightly bigger (now I know), stripped G8 with a worse interior.

You don't even get the "king of the highway" advantage with this like other ex-cop cars since most people won't recognize it as one let alone know WTF it is.

Neat find. Position of the shifter confuses me. Is this platform not available anywhere with a column shifter? Floor shift robs so much real estate.

I wish I could arrange a test drive (too far away) if I could garauntee that my wheel chair and lift would fit in the trunk I would VERY strongly consider buying this particular car. I'd paint the roof/doors/pillars black and powder coat the remaining chrome.

No. This was specially designed after departments complained about the column shift on the Chargers. It does have a foot e brake on the 9C1 package. The 9C3 has a standard center console with ebrake and a regular shifter.

Looks like it hurts even to say it but a cheaper, knocked off Impala...

It looks like the front end of the Epica or Optra or whatever it was (the mid sized Daewoo sold as a Chevy) and the rear end of some weird pinched in the waist Impala.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's an old Mount Prospect Police car, they were practically giving them away.

If this is the case, the buyer should PPI for a functional cigarette lighter.

Weird to see a police car with a regular shifter and not a shifter on the steering column.

They really need to do something about that shifter... will never work with an agency that has a MWS/computer there. The centre console is already crowded enough in a cruiser.
