Thread: Sway / Anti-Roll Bars...

  1. 05-08-2012 02:19 PM #1
Searched FAQs for info regarding bars for B3 Wagon.

... admittedly it was 3am so I may have overlooked something.

I have been putting off installing my subframe after installing VR6
arms, rebuilt steering rack and powder coating because not sure if I
    should upgrade sway bar.

I'm not planning on auto crossing or anything, but do enjoy and
often seek out the curvy roads in nearby mountains & deserts.

I have Bilstien HD's all around on FK springs, considering coils.

Also, can bars for A2/A3's or Rado (not stock) be used?

Any thoughts, advise & suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

the tt webpage used to show the bars for hte corrado and passat with part numbers.
they are similar to the point where you can interchange them. from part number stand point are different for the hardware kit part number i think.
i have a shine racing rear bar for the centre of the rear beam and i am not sure if it will ever get used. it is off a mk3 car...

i know the rear beam on the b4 is different from the mk3, but i think it is the same as the corrado. not sure if the b3 is the same as a b4 though.

the b platform is closer to the corrado than the mk3 platform

that makes sense about the hardware kit since the passats have a larger lower shock bolt that the mk2/3 and corrado

yes it is. and also the b3 and b4 platforms are different in some aspects. I have an autotech rear sway bar, (solid) and also have the adjustment brackets. never got around to puttin it on the car. really dont need it but oh well
