    Hawk,

Is this a 991 with RUF Wheels?

Or are you saying this is a RUF built 991??

Looks good... Just appears to be the former.

    Nice.

I REALLY need to find the photos from my trip to Italy back in 2000. They're on some random HD somewhere in my house.

After touring the Vatican, we came out to see a Porsche meet with a bunch of RUFs, in the middle of the Vatican.

Yeah, I mispoke. It's just wheels. Mods feels free to change the title.

Agreed. If it were a RUF, it would be badged as one.

There is a difference between misspeaking and not knowing what you are talking about in the first place...

Wait - they took their car to a tuner shop just to have wheels "installed"? Or maybe the tuner is simply who ordered the wheels.. I hope?

They're nice, but if I had the scratch for a new 991, I'd be rocking some ridiculous 3-piece wheels with a massive rear lip.

I've been seeing the 991's quite frequently now and each time one passes by me I can't help but stare for a good few seconds.
Now if only I could afford one of these beauties...

OH NOES. I don't know the complete history of a ****ing aftermarket car company.

Didn't realize RUF made them that long ago, but they do look more fitting on the older car. Still, all that comes to mind is some old busted motegis. It's not like RUF was the most popular **** in the world back then. You know, the internet really helped expose a lot of this information to everybody.

Yup, those are R-Worx RSR 5-spokes. So in short, Rotiforms are replicas of replicas...

IMO, for the first time, these don't seem like the perfect wheel for the 911. It has grown so large that it needs more meaty spokes to flow. I agree with the guy a few posts up. Ridiculous lip, or super concave wheels, with a bit of mass to the spokes are the only way to go for the 991.

    yes please

The wheels on the car above are NOT the same as these r-worx that are pictured. The face -> spoke transition on the RW is a sharp edge, but it's rounded on the car above.

No, I was not saying the wheels on the 911 in this thread are not Rufs. I agree that they are.

I was replying to the guy who commented on the R-worx photo above calling them Rotiform NUEs.

    Simple misunderstanding here.

They seem to make the car look much lower to the ground. I like the looks of the wheels and the 991

Wait so you say it needs meatier spokes and then post some wheels that have spokes a fifth of the width of the RUFs? Just trying to understand what you're looking for...
