Thread: how low before sway bar hits axles

    I have a 2004.5 Passat B5.5 fwd. I just ordered a set of Ksport coilovers im waiting on them to come in (bout to 2 weeks) i fully stock on my suspension im at 70k im just wondering how low can i go before my sway bar hits my axle? also for the miles i have what other things should i get ie strut bushings? Thanks..

    Remove the springs and one swaybar endlink and perform a suspension stroke test.

    thanks for your responce, unfortunatly i ve never done that test, any way you can clarify?

    Start with everything at 1/2 way down and go from there. Your springs will settle after a day or two and you will be readjusting your ride height anyway. Yes, replace your front bushings/bearings.
