So i got an apr tune almost 2 years ago but just installed a boost gauge tonight... I know I'm lazy.

Went and drove around for a bit and boost seems to build nicely and quickly touches 17 psi then drops to 15 and fluctuates from 14-15 until it starts to drop at the end of the power band.

So my question is, does the APR tune actually provide an honest 18 psi? or do I have a boost leak or some kind of other problem.

Oh, and at idle seems to keep a steady 20 in Hg

you will peak at 18 or so and will drop to 14-15 till redline... mine des it too. a manual boost controler and 20psi all the time is doable.

Huh. My APR 93 will spike to 25, and will hold solid at 20 just fine. Apart from the Forge DV, the car is otherwise stock.

I have stage 1 93 on my 180q and it spikes to 20 and holds at 16-17. I would imagine that same tune on a 225 would have higher boost?

Stage II (Just deletes rear cat over stage I) APR 93 octane tune - Spike to ~19.5, holds 15-16 psi. Although I have some other issues that MAY be causing slightly low boost requests. This log was 3rd gear, just over a 19 psi spike I think.

Please ignore the Y-axis label, it should be mbar boost (absolute pressure, not gauge, subtract 1000 mbar to see boost gauge pressure)
