Somehow, if that was me, I'd come across about 10 cars that I'd have to get around. It's amazing that the road was so empty.

I love how you can see the front suspension working. Nice ride!

Awesome video, thanks for sharing. What impressed me most was that neither you, nor your companion crossed into the opposite lanes during the drive. You get two thumbs up in my book

    A) just b/c a slammed car can drive on mountain roads does not mean it works well (read: bump steer).

    B) Only rookies or HS kids drive with one hand on the steering wheel and one hand on the shifter.

You all want to get into the same argument again and start slinging insults around... I'd recommend against.

Just a friendly warning as I don't see this thread lasting long.

I don't understand the helmet on a canyon. If you flip that car, a helmet isn't going to help and it makes you look like a wuss.

rocks from the tires/road? And bird poop.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

So motorcyclists that wear helmets are wusses too?

Nothing to do with flipping the car, it's to protect my face from rocks and other debri kicked up by other cars (The Atom in particular kicks up a lot of rocks)
Additionally, the bumpers of most SUV's are right at my head level.

Yea, at this point the helmet is just to make sure if you don't die, you'll still look good after you're done driving.

    Motorcycle helmets are required.

This is kind of small, but it is a picture of Alaine De Cadenet from Victory By Design. He is a bad-ass driver.

What does that have to with anything, he is driving on a closed circuit for a video production where they need to see his face?!

Every time MoPho posts one of his driving videos it makes me want to 1) get a Caterham and 2) go do some canyon driving .
