I guess I missed the news that these would be sold here as kit cars. I must have been paying attention to something else.

Anyway, imagine my surprise when I found this in the NetOptics booth at Interop in Vegas:

What an awesome car - the attention to detail and quality of the carbon work looks impeccable. I'll have more photos later as I will be hanging around here a couple more days.

The KTM is cool but why is it better than the Katerham? And is it cheaper than the Atom?

"Better than a Caterham" is going to be a subjective thing. It is certainly safer than a Caterham with its carbon fiber monocoque and carbon crash box.

These are about twice the cost of an Atom here based on the numbers I saw.

The sign with the car claims 300hp from a 2.0L TFSI Audi engine and 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. The curb weight is listed at 1,731 lbs.

I've owned KTM motocross bikes in the past and their quality is absolutely astounding when compared to the competition. Premium fasteners and solid engineering throughout, truly the best of the best. I can only imagine these cars are no different.

that one has california plates. AFAIK these will be kit cars and a kit car allocation, with only of 500 per year, is almost impossible to get, so doa in california. But if i had a spare 130 gs i would take the 300 hp version , and yes over a gt3 just because its the batmobile

Every review I've seen has said it is not as good to drive, nor as exciting as the Atom or Caterham.
X-bow is also about 500lbs heavier which is a lot in a car like this

Actually, it's not that hard to get an SB100, especially since the recession. I know someone who recently just walked into the DMV and got one

Of course - the only thing that surprised me was seeing it here. Once you get it here there are several ways to put a plate on it. Some states make that easier than others of course.

Well that's unfortunate. Knowing i can't afford one, I haven't read much at all about them.

I would still like to give it a try.

I am pretty sure I asked before, but I'll ask again, what do you do for a living? I know its not car related and this is just a hobby but you have an insane amount of free time to be hitting up all these events!

This isn't free time unfortunately. My company has a booth at the show which I am helping to keep running smoothly. When I have free time I drool on the KTM and scope out the booth babes. Actually the booth with the KTM has one of the prettiest girls I have seen in all 1,000,000 sq ft of show space.

      Hey Peloton,

Great Photos, thanks for stopping by the Net Optics booth (#1021) at this year's Interop in Las Vegas!
Glad you like the car, the booth, and the booth talent!

Stop by our Booth Crawl today (wed) at 3:30. Ask around for Eldad, the owner of the vehicle, he loves to talk cars.

Here's a bLurry iPhone photo. Note: I don't want to hear from the 'pointy elbows' crowd.

I'll ask her to pose with the car later.

Also, I spoke with Eldad about the car yesterday morning. Very nice gentleman indeed but I will come by to say hello again as it turns out we have a mutual friend.
