i currently own an mk6 gti with a manual trans... as of late i've been noticing a rattling noise when the clutch pedal is not engaged.. once engaged the rattling stops completely .. it seems to be getting louder and louder .. im worried this could eventually turn into something worse than just a rattling noise .. i had a friend mention it could be the "throwout bearing" .. has anyone else encountered this problem?

My car does the same thing. I took it in to the Dealer to have the check it out. They checked my car to see if my ECU had been flashed and found out it was. Now they are telling me that my Clutch/Throwout Bearing will not be covered under Warranty since I've modded the car. Sucks! I am just going to keep on driving it like this and maybe try my luck with another Dealer. My car also makes a funny sound when I let the clutch out in first gear sometimes at a red light or on a hill.
