Well, thank Simon Cowell, Jezza has tweeted that there will be no Top Gear this fall because Simon Cowell got the slot with a show... WTF!!!

I can't wait that freaking long... It's an addiction, and it needs to be fed!

Isn't Top Gear one of the most popular shows on TV worldwide? My guess is yes, the timeslot got filled - but they probably filled it because TG wasn't ready.

Seems like years past they were popping out 3 series a year, with quite a few episodes... now its down to 2, then 2 with only 7-8 shows each... now ONE. This sucks.

its because we all want what we dont have! regular people dont have any talent/singing abilities, so thats all they want to see!

TCL wants to see top gear because its got car porn/driving abilities, something which sadly TCL does not have

Sounds like a convenient excuse... TG has been doing fewer and fewer episodes every year.

I'm sure they all have other stuff lined up already.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Top Gear is the best show on TV , why cut it down to just one series a year? I don't understand why people enjoy watching other people try to sing or jungle 3 pandas or do other boring things, while they can have a huge laugh watching Top Gear with Jezza , The Hamster and Captain Slow.

I can imagine Simon Cowell pulling along side Jezza In his Rose Royce and just giving that smug smile clarkson did during the Ghost review.

The Olympics will take up a big chunk of the schedule on BBC, so that is why some shows were pushed back.

Part of the reason I don't mind not having cable is because this is all that is on anymore. That and "reality shows". I watch Top Gear on my computer so I'm not too worried.

could be a part of it too. the stig was probably deemed a security risk and couldn't be around the olympics.
    Regarding DD'ing a tuned Evo:

Maybe they are busy trying to let the Army to let them blow up a Morris Marina after the Olympics with one of these:

    It's a legit excuse. There'll be a Christmas special, but that's it.

Cowell's X-Factor on ITV goes up against Strictly Come Dancing on BBC1. TG is broadcast on BBC2 and would get a tiny share of the viewing figures if it went up against those shows.

TGUS will be back sooner than that.
There are no old Porsches - just new owners.

I'm interested to see what they do with the Toyaburu.

Clarkson did gush on the 1M, another small four seater with a similar concept.

Top Gear US shouldn't be allowed to wear the Top Gear name. It's so god awful. All 3 hosts are painful to watch. It's so boring and the acting is horrible.

And you can't watch it without noticing something they've ripped off of tguk. The US test track sucks too
