Post the Auto-Scan prior to any modifications if the ABS fault was the end result of modifications you made. The Coding and Adaptation logs found in the C:\Ross-Tech\VCDS\Debug folder may be helpful as well.
Edit: The BCM will not communicate if the doors are locked, so those results sound normal:

I just got my VCDS cable today and did some tweaks like cluster staging, DRL option in MFD, fogs as DRLs, driver seat heat memory, Turned XDS up to 2, enabled TSC, and a couple other things.
Now I'm getting fault codes for all sorts of things. Cleared them all, but the ABS one keeps coming back. Also had to unplug and replug the cable a few times before I could get 09 Central Electronics to respond.

Okay I probably solved it just from your wiki...
"Driver Steering Recommendation (DSR) in activated in Brake Electronics but not in the Steering Aid Control Module or vice versa."
I know that I changed the DSR settings, and I know I saw those settings in more than one module. So I probably didn't get them both somehow. I'll go back over things in the morning and we'll see.

Activate needle illumination in ALL MICRONAS cluster since 2004 up to 2010. Activate STAGING for all NEC cluster since 2008 even if not availabe in adaptation chanel.

...And that was it! DSR was set to "2" in ABS, but set to "0" in Steering Assist. I set them both to "2" and no more fault code!

I got this same Error last time when I replaced ABS but no 44-Steering Assist. After replaced 44 - intermited fault with J500. Unfortunatelly 44 was adapted to the MK60EC1 not MK60, and problem gone.
